Back in South Africa!

September 10, 2007

At last I’m back in South Africa and feeling fairly recovered. Had a few close calls with the RWC site this week-end, but it seems to be steaming on and ticking over.

Remember to check out the South African adventures on my local site, here.

Good old Miss South Carolina

August 29, 2007

In the past week a lot has been said about a certain beauty queen’s remarks during a pageant.

From ivo.co.za: “This babe gets it. She’s going to edgercate America and get everyone a map and help South Africa and Eyeraq and stuff. At least, I think that’s what she said. She speaks a little high-faluting for me, but then, I’m not as smart as Miss South Carolina.

You could also join the ever growing group in Facebook called “South Africans for Miss South Carolina“. The poor soul needs all the help she can get.

Darwin award

July 13, 2007

I just read on News24 that the oh-so-logical neighbor of South Africa has decided to ban the import of groceries into his country. As if the poor people in that “unmentionable” place have not suffered enough!? More…

June 27, 2007

I don’t believe it! Just when I’m not in Johannesburg it decides to snow for the first time since 1981!
