Sister’s matric farewell

August 6, 2007

Just wanted to share a few pictures of my sister at her farewell, that was on the 27th of July. She looked very beautiful and she had a great time! Wish I could have been there – but I was just a tad far away.

Beer bash

August 3, 2007

A few weeks ago the crowd at the office took me out to the pub. Lise (my right) has an amazing talent – she can down a beer in record time! She is still undefeated!

At last it is live!

August 1, 2007

At last the site I came all the way to the US for has gone live (or did go live yesterday). Had to work all night through and only went to bed at 8pm the next day, but at least the site is running and working well. The Rugby World Cup 2007 Video site is up and buzzing!

If you want to take a peek on what I have been up to then move your mouse over to www.rugbyworldcupvideo.com (or www.rugbyworldcup.com and click on the Video link). Now I want you all to subscribe, subscribe, subscribe!!!

Big brother yourself

July 28, 2007

Just heard about something from a colleague called “Justin TV”.  The idea is that you strap a web cam to your head, and broadcast your life. Other people can then log in and comment on your comings and goings. Now the guy that started it all is Justin, but it seems that a whole group of other publishers joined him since then. Check it out for yourself over here.

Silence of the hams

July 19, 2007

Not posting much this week unfortunately. The first build of the site has to go live on Friday, and I’ve been working like a slave to get all the bits in and sorted. Hopefully I’ll have some time over the week-end or next week to get some interesting things up.

Drab day

July 15, 2007
Today was a bit of a drab day. Took the train to the city, but it was so misty that you couldn’t see anything. At least I made it to the Pacific ocean – so now I’ve seen all three the big oceans!

Also took a peek at the big Golden Gate Park – but the rain made it a bit unpleasant. Will re-attempt the SF part 2 visit again next week-end.

Darwin award

July 13, 2007

I just read on News24 that the oh-so-logical neighbor of South Africa has decided to ban the import of groceries into his country. As if the poor people in that “unmentionable” place have not suffered enough!? More…
